Hello Napa & San Francisco

This past weekend Blair & I joined our very good friends John & Dalisa Cooper for a long "adults only" weekend in Northern California.  GMa Shiplett flew in to watch Connor and we were off for our first multi-day trip away from our little bug.  We had a fantastic time!  I will say I was very out of practice for our day in Napa wine tasting...a few champagne tastings and I was not feeling much pain and by the end of the day it was not super pretty, but fun none the less.  I should have known better...I have not had more than a glass of wine in almost two years!
We hired a designated driver for the day - love riding in style!

First stop Chandon for some sparkling wine, my weakness!

 Napa is beautiful!

Jose at Goose Cross...the picture is a little fuzzy and so was I by this point!

After one night in Napa, we headed back to the city to spend the weekend in San Francisco.  It was the first time Blair & I have really spent much time exploring the city & we could not have had better tour guides than John & Dalisa.  We walked all over the city & loved every minute.

What a great view of the city & the Golden Gate Bridge!

Walking through China Town, first time we have ever been to China Town...loved it!

The trolley was out of order...but it was a perfect chance to get a photo!

We spent Saturday down on the Piers & of course we had to see the Sea Lions!

We headed out to Alcatraz Saturday afternoon...such a cool experience.  We took the walking tour of the Cell House and walked the grounds a bit.
 Hi John & Dalisa!

Inside the Cell House at Alcatraz...the stories of the inmates are just crazy.

After Alcatraz we headed to The Stinking Rose, a delicious restaurant the specializes in garlic.  Yum Yum Yum is all I can say, we even had garlic ice cream.

 Cheers!

Our last day we enjoyed walking around Union Square and a little lunch at the Burger Bar...not a bad view.

We had such a great time & GMa took such wonderful care of Connor while we gone.  Although we missed our bug terribly, she kept us update with some fun photos and we did enjoy some adult time :)

Welcome home Mom & Dad...we missed you :)
