Sharing Is Caring!

Madison & Connor have become best buddies during meal times these days.  As soon as Connor gets in his highchair, Madison is right by his side waiting for anything to drop on the floor.  When Connor is feeling super generous he will also share right from his tray.  Madison has come to really love cheerios in the morning!  Although I am not a huge fan of Connor feeding Madison, it is very cute to see them bonding :)

Easter Weekend Festivites

Connor had such a great Easter Weekend!  Grandma & Grandpa Bordwell came up for a visit and Connor's Great Grandma & Great Grandpa Malek came down from Wyoming to meet their Great Grandson!  This was the first time Connor met his Great Grandma & Grandpa, so it was a very special weekend.  We started with an the Eggstravaganza Egg Hunt at our neighborhood park.  Connor really had fun crawling in the grass, playing with the Easter eggs & he even met the Easter Bunny!

So intrigued by the eggs!

Look what I have dad!

Connor & Great Grandma Malek...last minute tips for the egg hunt

Connor loved meeting his Great Grandma & Grandpa!

Big hugs!!  Connor gives the best hugs!

Aunt Rachael & Connor

The hunt begins!!
They separated the age groups, so Connor had lots of fun hunting for eggs with all the kids under 2

Grandma was there to help!

Connor found lots of eggs!

Connor got to meet the Easter Bunny!  No tears, but no smiles...all in all a win in my book cause I thought the Easter Bunny was a little scary myself!

Easter morning Connor got to see what the Easter Bunny brought him!

The Easter Bunny could not fit everything in one basket, so Connor got two!

He also got a new sit & stand toy!  He is getting so big!

After a quick nap & once the family came over, Connor got to see what was in his baskets!  The mini M&M's make a great rattle, not to mention Mom & Dad will enjoy eating them!

Connor got his favorite yogurt dots in a travel size...perfect for the diaper bag!  He also got a few new shirts, puffs & some fun eggs!

Hope everyone had a great Easter too!!

Happy 9-Month Birthday!!

Connor is three quarters of a year old...how is that possible??  Connor keeps us on our toes these days, always moving, always exploring, always finding new things to get in to.  At 9-months Connor has two teeth (his bottom teeth) with his two front teeth on their way.  He eats three meals a day (plus his milk of course) and loves just about everything he can eat himself, especially his peas, cheerios, bananas & yogurt dots.  He weighs in at 21 pounds & 28 1/2 inches tall putting him in the 50th percentile for height & weight.  With all the moving about he is slimming down just a bit :)  We have also heard quite a few dadas & mamas recently.  If you ask Blair he said dada first, but I beg to differ.  There is nothing better then hearing mama & dada!!  Connor keeps growing & growing...10 months is just around the corner!

Love those big beautiful blue eyes!!

Project 365 - January, February & March

I love to take pictures of Connor and my goal for 2012 is to capture a picture everyday of my little bug.  As I have mentioned more than a few times, Connor is growing & changing so fast that I wanted to be able to look back and remember as much of this time as I could.  My only regret is that I did not start this sooner!  Most of these photos are just taken on my i-phone, so not the best quality, but sometimes a quick snapshot is the perfect way to capture him in that moment.  Thanks to the Project 365 I-Phone App, I have been able to put these photos in a fun calendar to remember what we were up to & when (although I do admit I did cheat on a few days, but am getting much better :)).  Hope you enjoy our 3-Month Recap :)

In March Connor turned 8-months & has worked on perfecting all of his current skills.  He is crawling so much faster, always pulling himself up on anything he can & generally will just stand there with one hand to keep him steady while the other hand is busy playing with some type of toy.  He loves the park and, as seen towards the end on the month, his naked baby time!  This month also included a visit from GMa Shiplett as seen on March 5th and a visit from Grandma & Grandpa Bordwell as seen on March 24th.  On March 30th we made an impromptu visit to the doctor, cause Connor was not feeling so good, & he currently weighs in at 20 lbs & 8 ounces....a big bug!

In February Connor turned 7-months & had some more big firsts...
February 3rd was the first time he pulled himself to standing all by himself & I grabbed the camera just in time!
February 4th was the first day & night we left Connor for an overnight trip to San Diego.  Grandma & Granpa Bordwell took great care of him!
February 5th was the first time Connor sat up in his crib all by himself!  Caught on camera by Grandma.
February 19th was the first time Connor tried fried rice, he LOVED it!
February 20th was our first official play date at the park .
February is also when Connor really went mobile & has not stopped since.  It is a constant game of who can get to the dog bowls first...Connor or Mom & Dad.

In January Connor celebrated his 6-Month Birthday & had some very big firsts...
January 7th - the first time Connor sat in restaurant high chair - such a big boy!
January 9th - the first time Mom saw Connor trying to pull himself up at daycare on his turtle
January 13th - the first car trip to Prescott to visit Grandma & Grandpa Bordwell
January 26th - Connor getting so close to crawling - on his hands & knees rocking!
