So Many Firsts...It Is Hard To Keep Up

Connor is growing & changing so fast I am finding it hard to keep up and I am certainly having a hard time blogging quick enough so this is a recap of all his first these last few weeks!

Connor can now feed himself..that is when he wants to.  He loves his yogurt dots, puffs, mum mums & we are working on bananas, avocado and even some table food.  If anything, playing with the food keeps him entertained when eating his pureed food.

Connor's first car!  He likes to drive (walk) around the kitchen while we clean up or eat dinner.  Madison is starting to get nervous that Connor is more mobile & wants to check out what he is up to.

Connor's first bath in his big boy bath tub.  He loves his new bath tub!  He loves to splash & play in the water, although I do miss his baby bath tub in the sink some days.

Connor can now sit & stand up in his crib.  These pictures were from Saturday - the first time he decided he wanted to play instead of taking his nap.  Every time I laid him down, he rolled over crawled to the edge & pulled himself right up.  I am a sucker & let it slide cause who could resist that adorable face!  Instead of napping we opened some windows & staged a photo shoot to commemorate the occasion.  I will say it is not quite as adorable at 3am when he wants to play instead of sleep.

In the last few weeks Connor has really taking a liking to mirrors - he loves playing with his new friend...his reflection.  I love watching him interact & I will even clean the mirrors a million times to see that smile.

On President's Day Aunt Rachael joined Connor & I for his first play date at the park.   It was nice to get a little fresh air & Connor really had fun exploring & people watching.  Connor is mobile now, so we layed a big blanket out, put out some of his favorite toys & let him explore.

While we were at the park, we decided to head to the swing set to see if Connor wanted to swing.  He was not exactly sure about the swing...but he did like watching all the people.  I think the swing will grow on him :)

I just love watching Connor exploring his world.  He has the best expressions and gets so excited when he realizes he can do something new.  Next thing on our to do list...baby proofing!!

Time To Retire The Baby Bath Tub

So the time has come to finally retire Connor's baby bath tub.  It has been something I have been putting off for the past few weeks...not only is his baby bath tub super convenient, but it also means my little bug is just not that little any more.  I was looking back at photos the other day & came across photos of Connor's first bath & a few other bath photos taken over the past 7 months and they really put how much Connor has grown in perspective.  Sometimes I forget how little Connor really was when we first brought him home....so glad we snapped these photos to remember!

Connor Loves Bath Time, Just Over 1 Month

All Tuckered Out!!
Almost 7 Months Old - Mom Don't You Think I Am Getting A Bit Big For This Tub!

Last Day In The Baby Bath!

Now I just hope Connor enjoys bath time in his new duckie bath tub as much as he has enjoyed bath time in his baby bath.  Another milestone for the books!

Connor is 7 Months!!

How is that possible?  Connor turned 7 months old on Saturday and honestly it is all just going by a little to quick!  How is it possible that we are more than half way to his one year birthday - we are closer to his one year birthday than the day he was born - I really need to find that pause button! Connor just keeps growing & growing & growing before our very eyes.

He has had some very big firsts this past month & something tells me the fun is just beginning....

Connor now wants to be up on his feet all the time & has figured out how to pull himself up to standing on a few things.  I almost fell over the first time I looked over to see him standing next to his sit & stand toy when I had left him sitting just a few seconds to get things ready to head out the door. He really loves his new skill and I think he thinks I am his jungle gym when we are playing on the floor.

Connor is also so close to crawling he can taste it...he get on his hands & knees and rocks back & forth...and can crawl a few crawls if you put something out of his reach, but not totally mobile yet.  It is only a matter of time before he really puts it all together & I know once he gets going...look out world, we are all in trouble!

This past weekend Connor surprised Grandma & Grandpa Bordwell by figuring out how to sit up in his crib all by himself! Imagine their surprise when they looked at the monitor to see if he was ready to get up from his nap & found him sitting up ready for someone to come & play. YIKES! We still have not seen this skill in person, but am keeping a closer eye on the monitor to see how he is doing this!

This past month Connor has also gotten much better at eating his solid foods....well it was solid before it hit the food processor.  We have even worked in some new snack items.  He loves his yogurt dots, puffs & mum mums.  They keep him occupied while I try & sneak in some peas.  Sweet potatoes are still his favorite, he would turn into a sweet potato if he could, but we try & work in a few new foods a week to keep things interesting.

The one thing that is still missing is his teeth!
Some of his friends have lots of teeth, but Connor remains toothless.  Everyone seems to be waiting in great anticipation of said teeth, but since we are still nursing
I really could do without them for a bit longer :)  Maybe next month!

To say the least it has been an amazing month &
I can't wait to see what the next month has in store for us!!!
